What is Bigg Boss

Bigg Boss is an Indian reality television game show franchise based on the Dutch show Big Brother. It is produced by Endemol Shine India through Viacom18 and Star India.

Bigg Boss is the most popular serial in India, which has come to rock once again like everyone else. It is the Indian version of Bigg Brother. Currently, the host of this show is Salman Khan. It has been hosted by other famous personalities like Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Sanjay Dutt, Farah Khan, and many others.

Several contestants (known as “housemates”) live in a purpose-built house and are isolated from the rest of the world. The format of the show is reality-based where famous personalities and at times common man get the same platform to show their skills. In this show, some people come together and compete for many tasks. Only Bigg Boss and the host of the show get to interact with them.

At this time they are not given any news from the outside world. They are kept and evicted from the show depending on the audience voting. They are provided with many opportunities to save themselves from getting nominated through the task. Many twists and turns take place here to keep the audience entertained.

The elimination takes place weekly. The least interesting contestant gets eliminated due to the minimum number of votes. Meanwhile, contestants are also given entertaining daily tasks to determine which group of people will be nominated for eviction.

This show because of its high entertainment quotient has always gathered the highest TRP ratings. It is one of the most loved shows in the tv industry. A maximum number of people follow this show. The popularity of the show is as such that Hollywood actors have also been interested and some of them participated in it. The diversity of choosing the participants has always been great. I’m personally a great fan of this show and have been following it since the very beginning.

Each week, housemates nominate two of their peers for eviction, and the housemates who receive the most nominations would face a public vote. Of these, one would eventually leave, having been “evicted” from the House. However, there were exceptions to this process as dictated by Bigg Boss. In the final week, three housemates were remaining, and the public voted for whom they wanted to win. The housemates in the Indian version are primarily celebrities except one who is a non-celebrity selected via auditions. Housemates are overseen by a mysterious person known as ‘Bigg Boss’, whose only presence in the house is through his voice.

The big boss is an Indian adaptation of the Netherland show Big brother. Big Boss got entered India with the support of Endemol shine and Sony India. Big Boss was launched in 2006, which got aired on the Sony Entertainment channel. It has traveled from Sony TV to Star networks, and then, at last, it is being circulated on Colors TV.

Bigg Boss was originally started in the Hindi language and has been extended into seven languages spoken in the Indian sub-continent, including Kannada, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, and Malayalam.

Big Brother is also a reality television show in which a group of people lives together in a large house, isolated from the outside world but continuously watched by television cameras. Each series lasts for around three months, and there are 10-17 participants. The housemates try to win a cash prize by avoiding periodic evictions from the house.
